About Us

The Good Neighbor Clinic (GNC) was founded in 1999 with the establishment of a Board of Directors, and it opened to clients in November of that year with the support of local physicians and over 50 volunteers. The GNC is a not-for-profit corporation with 501©(3) tax exempt status. Donations to the Clinic are tax deductible, and are used for direct services to patients.

The clinic is located in the St. Vincent de Paul Community Resource Center, Prairie du Sac. The Center offers numerous tax exempt and community service organizations a home. St. John's Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac, was the initial home of the Good Neighbor Clinic prior to moving to its present permanent location.

Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital & Clinics donates basic outpatient diagnostic services to hospital source area residents. The four Sauk Prairie area pharmacies provide all medications to the clinic at cost (patients pay $1.00 per prescription.) Some local physicians and dentists donate specialty care upon referral.

OUR MISSION:

The Good Neighbor Clinic, a non-profit organization, is committed to serving the preventive and primary health care needs of those trying to improve their lives, and for whom such services are economically unfeasible. Health care is provided with quality, passion, dignity and confidentiality.
